Vanille comes to life! by Anadia-Chan Vanille comes to life! by Anadia-Chan
Something I have always been impressed with is anamorphic illusions, aka 3D.  I've seen so many and I'm always impressed, and I thought, why not do one myself?  After a lot of trial and error, I finally figured out exactly how to skew the image perfectly.  So I altered the original image, and drew it.
I have a pile of failed attempts, but this one finally came out the way I wanted.  I'm really happy with how it turned out, and I think I want to do another anamorphic drawing! So any suggestions are more than welcome :D

How long did this take?  Honestly, I don't really know, I think at least 5 hours?
What did I use? Nothing except a mechanical pencil, a cotton swab, and a piece of Canson A4 paper

Anamorphic Illusion by Anadia-Chan   Here are a couple of different angles to see it from also  :)

This is really neat! How you did you draw Vanille like that!? o_o It's like she's coming out of the paper!

Thanks :) I used an anamorphic method, basically I didn't draw Vanille normally, I drew her at an angle, so that it looked like she was popping out of the paper. Then I cut the top part of the paper off to add to the effect!

Fascinating!

In the anamorphic images on the streets, the striking features are the rest of the background (people, buildings, etc). Maybe something like this can be achieved if you have some other objects in the photo (like some coins, pencils, etc) arranged so there is a sense of scale.

Keep up the extraordinary drawings!
